Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2, 2026
1. Introduction
SaudiScore ("we", "our", or "SaudiScore") provides a football scores and information website and a mobile app for iOS and Android.
This Privacy Policy explains what information SaudiScore processes, what is stored locally in your browser or on your device, what may be stored through our backend services, and which third-party services are used to provide SaudiScore.
SaudiScore is an independent hobby project created and operated by an individual developer.
For privacy questions or requests, contact: info@saudiscore.com.
2. Information We Process
Website
You can use the SaudiScore website without creating an account.
If you favourite an individual match on the website, the match identifier is stored locally in your browser using localStorage. Website favourites are not currently synced to a SaudiScore account or stored by SaudiScore in Firebase as profile data.
The website does not currently use an analytics SDK or advertising cookies. Our hosting and backend infrastructure may process ordinary technical request information required to deliver and secure the service, such as IP address, user-agent information, request timestamps and error or security logs.
Mobile app
The SaudiScore app uses an anonymous Firebase account to operate certain features. You are not required to create an account with a name, email address, or password.
Information stored by SaudiScore for app features may include:
- An anonymous Firebase user identifier
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) tokens used to deliver notifications
- The identifiers of teams you follow
- Notification preferences for followed teams and matches
- Match subscription information required to deliver the notifications you request
- Your language preference where required for notification features
Some information, including followed league selections and certain app preferences, is stored locally on your device and is not persisted by SaudiScore in Firebase as part of your account data.
The app may also temporarily cache football content on your device to improve performance.
Contacting us
SaudiScore does not require your name or email address to use the website or app. If you contact us directly, we receive the information you choose to include in your message.
3. How We Use Information
We use information where needed to:
- Provide football scores, fixtures, standings, news and related information.
- Remember individual match favourites locally in your browser on the website.
- Remember the teams you follow in the app so we can provide team-related features and notifications.
- Deliver match notifications that you choose to receive in the app.
- Provide access to My Brief in the app.
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve SaudiScore.
4. My Brief and Artificial Intelligence
My Brief is an app feature that provides AI-generated football summaries. These summaries are generated using football-related information such as news, fixtures, results, standings, statistics, and player availability for a given team.
Team briefs are generated and cached as shared football content for a given team, language, and coverage window. They are not generated as an individual AI profile of you, and are not personalized using your identity, favourites list as a whole, or usage history.
OpenAI may process football-related information in order to generate this content. SaudiScore does not intentionally include your Firebase user identifier, FCM token, email address, or other contact information in the information sent for AI generation.
AI-generated content may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. My Brief should therefore be treated as an informational football summary and not as an official statement from a club, league, player, or competition.
5. Third-Party Services
SaudiScore uses third-party services to operate the website and app.
- Google Firebase / Google Cloud
Used for parts of SaudiScore's hosting and backend infrastructure, anonymous app authentication, storage of the app data described in Section 2, and delivery of push notifications.
Firebase Privacy and Security - OpenAI
Used by the app backend to generate the AI-powered football summaries provided through My Brief.
OpenAI Privacy Policy - API-Football / API-Sports
Used to provide football information such as fixtures, scores, standings, statistics, lineups and related football data.
API-Football Privacy Policy
These providers may process technical information required to provide their services according to their own privacy policies and terms.
6. Legal Basis and Purpose
SaudiScore processes information only where necessary to provide the features you request, operate and secure the service, comply with applicable legal obligations, or pursue legitimate operational interests such as preventing abuse and maintaining service reliability.
Where processing requires your consent, you may withdraw that consent through the relevant browser, app or device settings where available.
7. International Processing
Some of the service providers used by SaudiScore may process information in countries outside the country where you live.
This may include Firebase and other Google services used by the website and app. OpenAI may also process football-related information submitted through SaudiScore's backend for the purpose of generating My Brief content.
Where required by applicable law, SaudiScore uses service providers and contractual or other safeguards intended to protect information processed internationally.
8. AI Data Handling
OpenAI processes football-related information submitted through SaudiScore's backend in order to generate My Brief content described in Section 4.
SaudiScore uses OpenAI through its API for this purpose. We do not intentionally send the account identifiers, push tokens or contact details described above as part of My Brief generation.
9. Data Storage and Retention
Website match favourites are stored locally in your browser using localStorage and remain there until you remove them, clear the relevant browser storage, or the browser removes that storage.
Certain information required for app features is stored in Firebase, including your anonymous user identifier, followed team identifiers, push notification tokens, notification settings, and match subscription data.
Other app information, such as followed leagues and some app preferences, is stored only locally on your device and is not accessible to us as account data.
Match subscription records that are no longer active may be marked inactive rather than being immediately deleted. They are no longer used to deliver active match notifications while inactive.
AI-generated team briefs are cached as shared football content to improve performance and avoid unnecessary repeated processing. These briefs are not stored as part of an individual user's profile.
Backend logs and operational information are retained only as reasonably necessary for service delivery, troubleshooting, security, abuse prevention and applicable legal requirements.
10. Data Deletion
Website favourites can be removed from the website or by clearing SaudiScore's local browser storage. Because website favourites are stored locally, SaudiScore does not have a server-side favourites account to delete for the website.
You may request deletion of information associated with your anonymous SaudiScore app account by contacting us at: info@saudiscore.com.
We may ask for information needed to identify the relevant anonymous app account or installation before completing a deletion request.
Information stored only locally on your device can be removed by clearing the relevant app or browser data or, for the mobile app, by uninstalling SaudiScore.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical measures intended to protect information processed by SaudiScore.
Backend services are used to keep private API credentials out of browser and app code where appropriate and to reduce unnecessary exposure of service credentials.
No internet-based service can guarantee complete security.
12. Children
SaudiScore is not directed specifically at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly ask children to provide personal contact information.
If you believe that information relating to a child has been provided to us inappropriately, please contact us.
13. Your Choices
On the website, you can add or remove individual match favourites. Clearing SaudiScore's local browser storage also removes locally stored website favourites.
In the app, you can manage followed teams, leagues, pinned matches and notification preferences. Push notifications can also be disabled through your device settings.
Depending on where you live, you may also have additional rights concerning information associated with you. You can contact us if you wish to request access, correction or deletion of such information.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when SaudiScore, its features, or the services we use change.
The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was most recently revised.
15. Contact
